My career started way back in 1986 when I joined one of the largest Advertising Agencies of its time - DFS Dorlands. This was before Apple Macs had landed in England and thus all design was produced on the drawing board.
This put me in good stead for the rest of my career, getting to see how a studio is run and making sure each deadline has been met.
From DFS Dorlands I went on to Ted Bates which again is a big name in the Advertising world, producing high quality advertising material still on the drawing board. My role included layout, type mark-up and paste up.
In 1990 I moved to Alliance International where I was in charge of the day-to-day running of the studio. This incorporated liaising with the account executives, taking briefs, quotes and dealing with printers. This became a great learning curve for me, which has helped me become the Graphic Designer I am today.
At present I work for Acrobat Design producing a wide variety of work which is as diverse as Holiday Brochures, Manuals, Interactive Media to Websites.
I have gained some great experiences along the way and love the career I have created for myself.
